Members receive the GMIT issues free of charge. GMIT informs about activities in geosciences, conferences, new developments and special events, in the Paläontologische Gesellschaft and other geoscientific societies.

The bulletin informs about the latest developments in geosciences and is divided into several categories: A main article (Geofokus) presents a current geoscientific topic, Geoaktiv informs about the geoscientific profession, research and teaching, Geolobby contains news about the associations, organizations and institutes, and Georeport presents reports on media, people, conferences and events.

You can find an online calendar, earlier issues, Geofokus articles, and current information and open positions on the website www.gmit-online.de.

GMit is published quarterly. The deadlines for submission for each issue are:
March issue: January 15th
June issue: April 15th

Information on Joint Conference in China, October 10-13, 2017

 

After the successful First Joint Conference of the Palaeontological Society of China and the Paläontologische Gesellschaft held in Göttingen, Germany, in September 2013, great progress has been made between China and Germany concerning palaeontology and related subjects. In order to summarise these four years of progress and to present the results, the Second Joint Conference will be held in Yichang City, Hubei Province, China, from October 10th to 13th, 2017.
